Man Arrested for Stealing Fans and Windows in Ogun State

Incident Details

Man identified as Idowu Kehinde 35-year-old was arrested in Ogun state for stealing eight ceiling fans and four aluminum windows from a mosque. Kehinde allegedly scaled the fence of Mapara Moboluwaduro Central Mosque in Agbado on January 27, 2025.Police operatives apprehended the suspect, and they valued the stolen items at N520,000. According to the police, the suspect sold the stolen items to an individual named Awal Yusuf.

Ogun State Police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the arrest, revealing that Kehinde confessed to selling the stolen goods. During the investigation, authorities recovered a bag containing some of the aluminum window frames. The suspect will face charges at the Ojodu Abiodun Magistrate Court after further questioning.
